Calcitect

Privacy

No accounts, no cookies, no advertising. What you type stays in your browser.

Last updated October 4, 2026.

What you type

The calculators and the reference finders run entirely in your browser. The measurements you enter, the plan review comments you paste and the searches you make are not sent to Calcitect or to anyone else.

What is kept on your own device

So that the site picks up where you left off, your browser stores a few things on your device: what is in the calculator boxes, the running total, the tape of past calculations, your rounding and unit choices, and your last search on a finder. This never leaves your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and the Clear buttons remove the tape and the running total.

Visit counts

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. It records which page was opened, the site that linked to it, and general details such as country, browser and type of device.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. As with any website, the host's servers receive your IP address in order to send you the page.

What the site does not do

Links

The finders link to government websites, which have their own privacy practices.

Changes

If any of this changes, for example if advertising is added, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
