Calcitect

Terms of use and disclaimer

The short version: the tools are free and come with no warranty. Check every result before you rely on it.

Last updated October 4, 2026.

These terms apply to www.calcitect.com ("Calcitect", "the site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. The tools are provided as they are

Calcitect is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The site may contain errors, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and may be unavailable.

2. You are responsible for checking results

The calculators do arithmetic on the numbers you type. They know nothing about your project: its site conditions, materials, loads, tolerances, drawings, specifications or legal requirements. A result can be wrong because of a mistyped entry, a misunderstood field, rounding, or an error in the site itself.

Before you cut, order, build or rely on a result in any way, check it independently. Quantities such as concrete volumes and bag counts are estimates. You are solely responsible for how you use any result.

3. No professional advice or services

Nothing on Calcitect is architectural, engineering, surveying, construction, legal or other professional advice or services. Using the site does not create a professional or client relationship of any kind with anyone. The site does not review, design, approve or certify anything, and it is not a substitute for a qualified, appropriately licensed professional who knows your project.

4. The calculators are not a code check

The calculators do not check a result against any building code, standard, regulation or manufacturer's requirement. Whether something complies is for you and the responsible professionals and authorities to determine.

5. The reference finders

The finders are an index of documents published by government agencies. Calcitect is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by the Division of the State Architect, the Department of Health Care Access and Information, or the State of California.

6. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner and operator of Calcitect is not liable for any loss, damage, cost, delay, injury or claim of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything on it, including errors in a calculation, a list or a link. This applies however the claim arises, including in contract, negligence or otherwise.

7. Links to other websites

The site links to websites it does not control. Calcitect is not responsible for their content or availability.

8. Using the site fairly

You may use the site for personal and commercial work. Do not attempt to disrupt it, and do not present it or its results as coming from a government agency or as professional certification.

9. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
